Job Description : Express Employment Professionals Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a full time Staff Accountant for a non-profit client in Philadelphia. This is a direct hire position with full benefits. The Position is hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days at home. Candidates must be fully vaccinated.This position replaces someone who was promoted and reports to the Assistant Controller. Primary responsibilities are to provide general accounting support to Corporate and Program related cost centers. Primary responsibilities include month-end close procedures, recording journal entries, bank account reconciliations, preparation and analysis of monthly accounting reports to programs and departments.Essential functions are:1. Tracking monthly journal entries and accruals and performing month end closing responsibilities (maintain monthly work-papers).2. Maintain monthly work-papers, with variance analysis.3. Preparation of monthly financial reports for distribution to Program and Department VPs, Directors and Managers, and follow up on inquiries on variances or other matters.
