Position :
Job Description : The Staff Accountant is responsible for creating accurate and timely financial records for K-Company family of businesses.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for monthly bank, account, and intercompany reconciliations for K-Company family of businesses.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting.
Prepare journal entries and monthly account analysis.
Responsible for managing collections process and develop solutions to improve collections and Aged Receivables.
Ensure accurate accounting GL and receivable records.
Provide support and guidance to Accounts Receivable functions.
Responsible for creation of banking transactions and check runs.
Manage expense tracking and proactively identify opportunities for cost reductions.
Maintain fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules including tracking the cost of newly-acquired and existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of assets.
Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and procedures.
Additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Prefer 3-5 years of applicable experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven professionally run accounting environment.
Ability to work in a team environment while delivering independent results.
Strong detail orientation and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superior ability to prioritize, multitask and problem solve.
Advanced Excel skills – pivot tables, vlookup, sumifs, data organization etc.
Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting.
Experience with McLeod TMS a plus.
