Job Description : What’s the role? We are looking for a skilled finance associate to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments and reconciliation. As a startup that’s on a fast-growth path, responsibilities may vary as we scale; initially, the position includes close collaboration with our financial services vendor to build, analyze and update the company’s financial reports, process AP/AR, manage invoices and tax payments, and ensure compliance with legal requirements. The ideal candidate has a background in finance and familiarity with accounting software packages.What you’ll do Reconcile and rectify all ledger accounts belonging to customers, ensuring proper settlement of all paymentsThis will include multiple payment methods across our Omnichannel platformAssist with the development of the payout and pay-in methods for our e-commerce Lottery platformTrack and update inbound and outgoing payments, by recording transactions in accounting softwares such as QuickBooks OnlineAdminister the full accounts payable cycle to ensure all invoices, wire transfers, card and ACH payments are processed in a timely and accurate mannerManage third-party financial documentation to comply with internal/external auditsReconcile reports from internal systems and third-party recordsPrepare financial reports on a quarterly and annual basis for all accountsSupport long-term accounting projects to maximize efficiency as the company scales upManage electronic and paper filing systemsPerform other financial duties as assigned and innovate where possibleWhat you need Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of general accounting experience within consumer products, retail, auditing, or related industriesAbility to hit the ground running in an accounting/bookkeeping role, remaining compliant with GAAPProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsProven ability to analyze finance-related issues and recommend optimal solutionsAbility to handle multiple accounts simultaneouslyExcellent command of the English languageAbility to multitask in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple accounts simultaneouslyStrong numeracy and analytical skillsWhat is nice to haveFamiliarity with G-Suite tools (including Google Sheets) and E-commerce platformsExperience working with programs like Quickbooks and/or NetsuiteAmbitious drive, strong individual contributor and team playerCarries a can-do attitudeAffinity for technologyCompensationFull time positionCompetitive SalaryPerformance based bonusesFuture equity in the companyAwesome working environmentPaid time offHealth benefitsTeam eventsLotto.com does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, height, weight, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations, and marital status.
