Job Description:
PCI is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant for its Corporate operations based in Lenexa, KS. This individual will be doing the following:
Assist with annual 1099 reporting
Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to general ledger for all companies.
Record all company Visa charges and distribute to branches
AP management reporting.
Maintain and distribute AP charts.
Participate in month-end close process.
Respond to Branch and Vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Prepare summary financial information and ad hoc reporting to management as needed.
Duplicate payment research and analytical problem solving.
Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience as a Staff Accountant or 2 years of experience in accounts payable
Minimum Requirements:
Possess good computer skills and demonstrate the ability to learn new computer functionality
Be detail oriented, reliable, and well organized
Ability to work independently and with a team in a high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Work well with others through all methods of communication
Must possess advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Attention to detail required
Effective communicator
Self-starter and able to prioritize
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience with multiple locations preferred
Experience with the construction industry preferred
