Job Description : Performance Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for providing financial information, maintaining and reconciling accounts, maintaining journals and ledgers, capturing costs, preparing statements and generating reports needed to ensure accurate financial statements.. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities• Develop and perform account reconciliations for various areas of the balance sheet and income statement during the month end closing process• Assist in the review that all monthly close functions have been completed• Prepares schedules and other information requested by outside auditors for the annual audit of the company’s financial statements• Perform account analysis to identify and resolve accounting issues• Perform detailed review of accounts and account reconciliations of their peers and provide constructive feedback and improvements during the month end closing process• Provides recommendations for procedural improvements• Assist with the development and documentation of internal accounting procedures• Coordinate and interface with all departments regarding accounting issues• Manage workload to meet established deadlines Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accountingMonth end close or public accounting experience Problem solving skills a mustAbility to analyze information and correct issues at the root cause• Exceptional attention to detail• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment Performance Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
