Job Description : Profitas is currently searching for a remote Staff Accountant. Position will start part time with an expectation to transition to full time in 2022. This is an exciting opportunity for a client service oriented, tech savvy accounting professional seeking a remote (work from anywhere) position with a flexible work schedule.*Responsibilities include -Provide bookkeeping and accounting services to multiple clients in a variety of industries involving all aspects of the accounting cycle – accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end close, & special projects.Manage day-to-day relationships with clients within established processes and budget parameters.Support new client onboarding process.Serve as a resource for management.Qualifications -A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.5 years of progressive accounting & finance experience.The bulk of the hours provided should be Monday through Friday during daytime business hours so that you can respond to and support the needs of management and clients.Experience working with QuickBooks Online.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Commitment to maintain the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data.A dedicated office space that has a reliable, high-speed internet connection.Compensation will be based upon a rate of $35/hour and will be subject to an increase after an annual review.To be considered for this position please send a resume and cover letter telling us why you are the perfect fit.*Very Important* – In the first paragraph of your cover letter, please research and answer the following question: Find who is considered the father of modern accounting and the year he was born.
