Job Description : We are working with a client in Williston and they are looking for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for the accuracy and timely processing of journal entries, financial reports and other key metrics; the tracking, monitoring and subsequent reporting of account analysis, reconciliations, adjustments, etc.; various ad hoc projects and project leadership.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing adjusting journal entries.
Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
Oversight of daily bank reconciliations.
Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Performs various complex account analysis, reconciliations, ad-hoc tasks.
Oversight and maintaining various key metrics for accounting team.
Assists with month-end closing process, conducting research and making correctional entries as needed, posts accruals, closing entries and prepares financial reports.
Participate in IRS 1099 compliance requirements.
Supports AP and AR Clerks to ensure financial accuracy.
Weekly analysis of Purchase Price Variances and preparation of associated management reports.
Assist in process improvement and metric board report initiatives.
Continuously analyze Accounting processes for efficiency/ accuracy.
Assist with Internal/ External audits as well as Internal Control reviews.

Education / Skills Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, preferred.
One to five years’ experience in a similar position.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to appropriately handle confidential information
Strong math and analytical skills.
Demonstrated teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Proficient in the knowledge and use of MS Office (Word, Excel), Calculator, Telephone, Fax, Scanners,
