Job Description : Staff Accountant

The Stella Orton Home Care Agency, Inc. a leading non -for -profit home care service organization is seeking a full time Staff Accountant. Candidate must have strong computer and excel experience.

Responsibilities include: ( but not limited to)

Provide general accounting and bookkeeping support to various department functions.
Knowledge of accounts receivable/payable and payroll functions.
Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs: verifying data.
Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
Prepare general ledger entries by manitaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
Prepare payments by accruing expenses: assigning account numbers: requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
Respond to accounting and financial question by researching and interpreting data.
Knowledge of internal financial statement preparation.

Skill and Qualifications:

BS in Accounting
Non-profit experience preferred
Knowledge of Fund-EZ
HHA Exchange experience preferred
QuickBooks and /or other accounting software preferred.
Strong Excel skills
Home Care Experience
