Job Description : Torrington Properties is a growing real estate investment, development, and management firm based in Boston, MA. The company owns and manages properties in the Greater Boston area and New Hampshire and is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team.Position Overview: The Staff Accountant supports and assists the Director of F&A and Property Accountants in overseeing reporting, and managing the daily liquidity needs of the portfolio of entities. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for updating cash balances, coordinating bank draws and other short term liquidity requests, supervising the weekly check run and communicating with the property management team regarding the timing of incoming funds. This is a role with tremendous exposure and growth opportunity.Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Complete weekly and monthly reconciliations of all cash accountsRecord journal entries, as necessaryProvide input as to funding recommendations for weekly check runCoordinate and deliver, with the supervision of the Director of F&A, CFO and Construction Management Team, bank loan draw requestsEnsure the appropriate allocation of cash between entitiesProvide cash/liquidity reporting and forecasting as required by management teamReconcile weekly intercompany activityPrepare CAM and Property Tax calculations (where applicable)Additional ad hoc projects as necessaryJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
