Job Description : Tri State Forest Products is a growing wholesale building materials distributor and logistics company with multiple locations in the Midwestern United States. The ideal candidate must be a team player, who is highly organized, and self-motivated.Responsibilities:· Assist in month end closing through generating financial statements, recording journal entries, and reviewing and analyzing financials.· Prepare sales and use tax returns.· Demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.· Assist Controller with maintaining general ledger schedules and preparation of journal entries.· Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.· Assist in day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the accounting department.· Perform all other duties as needed or required.Qualifications· At least 1 year of accounting experience.· Attention to detail and organization to follow standard procedures.· Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, but not required.· Strong working knowledge of Excel.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
