Job Description : Unique opportunity for a Staff Accountant at a fast-paced, growing laboratory in Shoreline! US BioTek has been a well-run and profitable business for over 20 years, and we are now ready to take this a step further and are implementing an aggressive growth strategy.We are looking for a self-motivated candidate, with solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to problem-solve and function effectively independently and as part of a team.Duties include, but are not limited to: Perform month-end and year-end close, including preparation of journal entries and ensuring compliance with US GAAPPrepare monthly account reconciliationsPost journal entries and categorize records in general ledgerReconcile bank and credit card accounts and statementsAssist in preparation of supporting schedules for annual auditSet up vendors, process AP invoices and prepare checksAssist billing team with customer reconciliationsAssist in establishing and documenting processes, applying new accounting policies and ensuring complianceProvide support for ad hoc projectsQualifications: Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceUnderstanding and knowledge of GAAPStrong organization, communication, and attention to detailProficient in Excel and Word; QuickBooks experience a plusCPA or CPA track preferredAbout Us: US BioTek Laboratories is both a CLIA and COLA accredited laboratory that employs the latest laboratory technology, advanced automation, and a dedicated research team to ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of every test.
