This position requires a high level of attention to detail, an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain and manage fixed asset system including depreciationAssist with preparation of US Property Tax returnsPrepare and submit sales invoices to customerAssist with customer collection callsPrepare and post journal entries with proper supportMaintain reconciliations of select balance sheet and income statement accountsOther duties and special projects as may be assigned from time to timeAdditional Requirements:Experience in a software and/or technology company preferredExperience accounting for multiple related entities and parent/subsidiary relationshipsProactive individual able to work with minimal to moderate supervisionAdept user of MS ExcelExperience with NetSuite and/or Oracle Fusion ERP preferredAbility to work and communicate with people in varying disciplines with different backgroundsEducation:Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting/FinanceCPA/candidate preferredMinimum 2 years in a Corporate Accounting positionOur Company and CultureVecima’s innovative software and technology enable broadband and content providers to deliver the fastest, highest-quality, most reliable internet and streaming services to millions of people around the world.We led the industry to Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) and video-on-demand, introduced large-scale commercial and hospitality video, and led many of the entertainment and connectivity innovations we use in our homes and businesses every day.We were founded in 1988 and are proudly based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
