Job Description : We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Haverhill MA! In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with the leadership team, and have an impact on improving the reporting processes for a growing division of a multi-billion dollar, public company. This position reports directly to the Plant Controller and will help improve the financial reporting and control environment of the organization!

What is the Staff Accountant Accountable for?
Fast & accurate financials – Ensure books are closed timely, financials are accurate and reconcile all subledgers (AP, AR, Inventory, Fixed Assets etc).

Daily processing of cash applications (including vendor payments and cash collections), AR Invoicing and vouchering of vendor invoices.

Monitoring and improving the system of internal controls by implementing continuous improvement and efficiencies while maintaining compliance with Winchester and Aptiv policies.

Collaborate across departmental teams in Haverhill and Winchester’s corporate finance and HR organizations in a way that utilizes data to make informed decisions.
What is the Staff Accountant Empowered to do?
Support the department strategy for managing and reporting cash, inventory, working capital data

Coordinate with manager to meet deadlines for all financial closing periods

Support HR to strengthen and build the corporate culture

Update and track KPI based metrics and incentives to reinforce the right company behaviors

Continually seek ways to simplify your work flows and rationalize costs

Criteria for Success:
4+ years progressive experience, ideally with a medium to large size manufacturing company

Enthusiasm to take on responsibilities and partner with stakeholders

Desire to exceed expectations and have a flexible, can-do attitude

Ability to multitask and prioritize

Be ethical and focused on solutions

Be skillful with technology

BS in Accounting
