Job Description : Ascendo Resources is actively seeking a full-time, remote Staff Accountant for our client on a temp-to-hire basis.Our client is an environmental & safety consulting firm, and they are looking for a bright, experienced individual to join their accounting department.Qualified candidates must have 3+ years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, balance sheet analysis, and month-end close.Compensation: $25/hourAn ideal candidate will have the following: 3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting,Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or in a related field),Strong organizational skills and attention to detail,Strong verbal and written communication skills.In this role, you will: Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information,Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system,Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts,Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information,Interpret and research data to answer accounting and financial questions,Prepare payments by accruing expenses.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hourBenefits:Health insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:GAAP: 3 years (Preferred)Full-Cycle Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)Pivot Tables & Vlookups: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: Remote
