Job Description : General Summary of Job Duties

Silverton Casino is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for Shared Services in Las Vegas, NV. This position reports to the Assistant Controller overseeing Shared Services for Silverton’s growing array of business enterprises. The Shared Services department is responsible for the timely compilation of financial information leading to the accurate preparation of financial statements for all business units under the Silverton Management umbrella.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to Shared Services:

Perform all functions in accordance with applicable GAAP, Gaming Control Board, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Silverton policies and procedures.
Prepare journal entries essential to building an accurate general ledger reflecting all internal and intercompany transactions for each business unit
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer accounts in accordance with departmental policy
Prepare monthly reconciliations of Intercompany related party receivables and payables
Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and reporting package for all Silverton managed business units
Assist in the coordination of and preparation for financial audits as required
Assist in the creation of budget reports and in preparation of annual budgets
Monitor banking activity to ensure funds are available to clear wires and checks
Assist in the execution and implementation of various financial projects and system initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller.

Skills, Education & Other Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Accredited College or University
Minimum of three 2 years of accounting experience in gaming/hospitality environment, or large regional CPA accounting firm
Excellent strategic, analytical, and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment.
Intermediate understanding of GAAP accounting
Shared Service experience preferred
Project Management team experience preferred
Minimum 21 years old and have the ability to obtain appropriate gaming license if applicable

Technical Skills

Previous experience with Infinium or related Accounting systems preferable
Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel including Pivot Tables)
Oracle POS PMS
Required Work Cards

Identification that establishes identity
Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
Gaming card
