Job Description : *Position Summary*

*We are a small team of engineers building mobile applications for almost 50 million customers who shop at Sam´s Club stores every week. We are looking for product focused mobile engineers who share our passion to build high quality products and ship fast.*

*Position Description*

*There are very few places, if any, where you can bridge physical and digital experiences for tens of millions of users. Our team builds mobile applications that empower customers in over 600 Sam´s Club stores. We are a data-driven team and we constantly improve our products based on user data and feedback. Moreover, we experiment with new features and technologies and scale successful products rapidly.*

*We are results focused and expect our engineers to be involved in all parts of the product development from product requirements and design to implementation and quality assurance. We follow and adapt new technologies and our work includes challenges in the areas of security, geo-location, payments, scalability and architecture.*

*Responsibilities*

* *Demonstrate up to date expertise in Agile Software Engineering practices and Computer Science and apply it to development of cutting edge mobile applications.*

* *Participate as an individual contributor in the design and implementation of features and modules in Android native applications and platforms.*

* *Show full accountability and ownership of code and user experience quality.*

* *Enable the team to adopt engineering best practices with ease.*

* *Provide technical leadership to teams of 3-5 engineers.*

* *Represent engineering team in technical and architectural discussions with other engineering teams.*

* *Lead engineering execution of multiple projects/initiatives.*

* *Keep the team abreast with cutting-edge engineering trends.*

* *Build strategies to optimise build times, cut down code base size, eliminate tech debt, if required.*

* *Present important tech implementations in learning sessions and help up skill teammates.*

*Minimum Qualifications:*

* *BS/BE degree in Computer Science or related field. (If you do not meet this requirement but meet all the others, please reach out)*

* *Experience with implementing and managing the full SDLC for at least 1 mobile app.*

* *Excellent skills in Android, Java, Kotlin*

* *Excellent knowledge of the Android platform and the associated tool chain.*

* *Experience of shipping one or more Android applications.*

* *Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.*

* *Expertise in unit testing, UI testing and test automation and the ability to enable the team to adopt it.*

* *Expertise in designing and architecting mobile apps with well-tested opinions on design patterns.*

* *Proficiency in design patterns enabling TDD.*

* *Proficiency in CI/CD for mobile.*

* *Ability and drive to learn and apply new technologies.*

* *Proficiency in at least one cross-platform App Development Framework like React native.*

* *Preferably 10 to 15 years of experience in building mobile apps.*
