Job Description : We are looking for a Tax Accountant / Preparer to join our team! We are a very busy, small law firm that prepares small business tax returns for our law clients. We specialize in Aviation transaction law and assist our clients in purchasing aircraft for their business use. Our clients are dynamic, entrepreneurial and interesting people and so is the work. The tax accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records submitted by our clients and preparing business tax returns. If you can think on your feet, enjoy a fast paced environment and like to work hard, we are looking for you.Work from home, remote is available to the right candidate.Responsibilities: Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reportsWork with clients to improve accuracy and completeness of their financial reportsPrepare Federal and state 1065, 1120S, 4562, and other tax forms for multi-state clientsCreate new processes to improve financial efficiencyReport analysis and findings to management teamQualifications: Previous experience in accounting and tax preparation for clients required.Thorough understanding of asset depreciation and re-capture.Fundamental knowledge of GAAPExperience with current computer accounting programs, Quickbooks, Intuit Tax Programs, task management software, Microsoft programs and reporting toolsDetail and deadline-oriented, able to work under considerable pressure.Strong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong team orientationStrong work ethic.Excellent communication skills with team mates and clients.We are not offering benefits at this time.Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Work from homeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:You’re an American, do what you will.Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Business Tax: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: Remote
