Job Description : Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the incumbent oversees the preparation of a variety of monthly account reconciliations, journal entries, and Federal and State Tax reporting and analysis. The incumbent independently completes technical analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Enter all Non-Resident Alien Tax information into dedicated software
Completes tax analytics related to campus and auxiliary tax matters
Complete accounting analytical tasks for Campus and Foundation
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and to be accountable for own work results for effective and timely completion of work assignments. Ability to review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, validity, and adherence to standards. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understand and follow established procedures. Compile, verify, and reconcile financial data. Experience with PeopleSoft preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required. Ability to effectively work in an ethnically and culturally diverse environment and the ability to foster cooperation between peers and co-workers.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university’s commitment to a “vision of excellence.”
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, business administration, or a closely related field required. Three (3) years of related accounting experience preferred.

The targeted salary may be set as high as $4,584 per month based on experience The salary range for this classification is $3,775 to $7,073 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for one (1) year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
