What’s a typical day as a tax manager? You’ll:
Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company’s federal, state, and local income tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.
Review and prepare the quarterly and annual tax provision calculation, journal entries, and footnote disclosures in accordance with ASC 740.
Manage and review quarterly federal, state, and local income and franchise tax estimates and extensions.
Review complex partnership models, including maintenance of capital accounts, allocation of income, and hypothetical liquidation at book value (HLBV) accounting for solar tax equity investments.
Coordinate with 3rd party stakeholders on solar investment fundings, including review of annual compliance, and ad hoc modeling of current and future year projections.
Utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and priority tasks including those of other team members.
Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments; communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team.
Participate in tax planning initiatives, focused on identifying opportunities to reduce or minimize taxes related to business acquisitions and/or divestitures and company operational initiatives.
Lead and support assigned tax analysts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Public Accountant.
Masters of Taxation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
Minimum of 5 years of proven and progressive tax experience in a large accounting firm or corporate tax department in a Fortune 500 company.
