Job Description : Robert Half is seeking a qualified candidate for an exciting employment opportunity in the Bakersfield, California area for a Tax Preparer. Some of the responsibilities of the Tax Preparer will include carrying out simple and complex State and Federal tax returns for individual and small business. Key responsibilities
Execute other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Supply the Tax software application with correct data
Support clients by gathering mandatory information/documents
Perform a final check and invoice for form preparation fees
Handle clients with incoming calls to delegate tax questions and set appointments
Provide completed transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask effectively
Excellent data entry skills
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Knowledge of Annual Tax
Solid understanding of E1041
3+ years preparing tax returns- Excellent communication and organizational skills
