Job Description : Full Job DescriptionSmart Media Group is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant. This position is to be filled immediately and has an anticipated end date of November 8, 2022. The hourly pay rate is $30 to $33 per hour, depending upon experience, plus overtime. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with longer hours and weekends as needed. Work will revolve around invoicing clients and making payments to vendor.This opportunity is scheduled to start immediately. Employee will be trained.Our location is metro accessible (King Street Metro in Alexandria, VA) and offers free parking.Smart Media Group does ask for a strong commitment, upon hiring, to continue working until the end of the contract in November.Selected candidates are required to undergo a criminal background check.Job Responsibilities:The Staff Accountant will report to the Director of FinanceProcess invoices and payments on behalf of clientsEnsure client accounts have correct balancesReconcile client accounts daily, weekly, monthlyReconcile credit card bank accountsPrepare journal entries & complete bank reconciliationsDistribute financial information to other departments and respond to inquiries in a timely mannerAssist with special projectsAny other duties assigned by Director of FinanceQualifications / Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, or related fieldAt least 2 years related experience in the accounting industryAttention to detail is imperativePunctuality and reliability is a mustStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamThrive in a fast-paced team environmentMotivated and takes initiativeFast learner with good problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skillsWork well under pressure and deadlinesJob Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: $30.00 – $33.00 per hourPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Alexandria, VA 22314: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
