Automation Test Analyst

Requisites
Education: BE/MCA/BSC IT
Experience (years): Minimum 1 year with test automation on Selenium with Java
Relevant Experience: 1-4 years using test automation – Selenium with Java
Location: Mumbai
Working Hours: 8.5 hours / day
Role Summary:
The candidate will be required to be part of a scrum team. He will be required to
understand requirements, analyse story requirements, create functional/ manual
test cases & scenarios. If required, write scenarios in Cucumber using Gherkin
language. Based on agreed scenarios, candidates should be able to automate the
scenario using Selenium if required. Candidate should be able to execute manual
and automated test scripts (if required). Candidate should be able to log defects
using JIRA and update status in scrum team, internal stakeholders and even
customer if required.
Candidate must be willing and prepared to carry out only manual/ functional
testing for sprints where automation is not a product priority.
Candidate should be aware of (e.g. verification points or validations to be
automated, technical limitations, etc.). He should share progress reports, issues
tracker, defect reports and test execution reports.
The candidate must be aware of basic Software QA concepts, experience of
working with Agile development practices and tools, and will rely on his/ her
extensive experience and judgment to accomplish the goals.
Knowledge in testing of mobile Apps would be a plus.
Qualification Criteria/Work Experience
Essential: Automated Web-based Functional Testing using Selenium Web Driver & JavaAgile Development Methodology.Excellent Communication (ability to express the thought and grasp the inputs
in English – both verbal and written)
Manual testing of web / mobile applicationsJoining within 1 monthSetting up Selenium test environment (Selenium installation, Appium
installation, webdriver setup, including plugins like ANT/Maven for reporting,
etc.)
Create and Execute the automated scripts on non-windows platformConfiguration Management – GIT, SVN or similarWriting and executing SQL queries
