About the opportunity
As a Cloud Engineer your responsibilities will include:
Managing the Ellucian Cloud SaaS environments, ensuring 99.9% service SLA is met.
Be part of an on-call rota available to respond, troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
Identifying, analysing, and optimizing cloud operation processes, in collaboration with the Network, Platform, Database, and Applications teams for automation.
Writing standard operating procedures and training our operations engineers to use and maintain the automation tools.
Where you will make an impact
Ensuring the team meets its SLA targets and identifying and implementing reliability and efficiency improvements.
Assisting the team in planning, testing and implementation of infrastructure and application deployments using automation.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in maintaining reliable, fault tolerant infrastructure and application availability for a large production environment.
1+ years of experience in automation deployments using Git, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Jenkins.
Proficient in Linux and its administration
1+ years of experience with AWS VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, ELB, SNS, AMI, IAM, KMS, Route 53, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
Be a team player who’s willing to make every effort to ensure the team’s success.
Be proactive, positive, creative and flexible.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
