This solution encompasses our world-class industrial connectivity platform, Kepware, and creates a management and administrative platform for it in the PTC Atlas cloud. This program also aspires to create a next-generation edge agent for PTC ThingWorx, which would deliver configuration, telemetry, analytics, and rule processing for modern IIoT solutions.You will lead a fast-paced, self-motivated team in an Agile environment. As a Principal Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be part of a team designing and developing functionality core to the product’s SaaS delivery and operation. You will be an active part of the monitoring and reliability of the SAAS application. You will help lead incident response, deliver continuously evergreen software updates, and maintain a highly reliable service. Build tools for automation and management of SAAS cloud environment
Monitor infrastructure, application, and critical services to minimize downtime and ensure availability
Work closely with developers to help troubleshoot and provide consultation when alerts are issued
Investigate, resolve, and establish the root cause of incidents to ensure future success.
Be an active part of the development team planning future releases, contributing to the backlog, and making continuous process and software improvements
Lead a small operations team and mentor junior engineers
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
Great understanding of Scrum/Agile, DevOps, and site reliability engineering standards
Hands-on experience with application observability including monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing
Deep knowledge of container management, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
High Command of product day1ops and day2ops requirements and implementations
Design and implementation experience with distributed, microservices-based architectures
Tuning and troubleshooting applications deployed on Kubernetes Docker
Able to communicate complicated technical details in writing and verbally
Cares deeply for product results and team success
Preferred Experience
5-7 years of experience in software development using modern languages, preferably .NET/C#
3-5 years of experience monitoring and operating SaaS applications in an Azure, AWS, or Google cloud-hosted environment
Team leadership experience is a plus
