Hasura enterprise products give customers an on-premises or fully managed service for production-ready GraphQL APIs to help build modern apps faster with high performance, scalable and enterprise-ready security and compliance features. The Enterprise engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining features relevant to our enterprise customers like monitoring, caching, replication, SSO, APM integrations. They are also responsible for developing and updating the Enterprise installation stack.### What you will do:Lead one or more of the engineering teams building the Hasura Cloud InfrastructureEnsure the delivery of high quality and on-time software releasesContribute towards and facilitate decision making regarding architecture of various parts of the stackWork with Sales engineering and Customer success teams to drive PoCs and demosWork with account managers and customers to drive and troubleshoot Hasura Enterprise installationsPartner closely with technical architects and lead engineers to ensure that features are added in a scalable manner with minimal technical debtCoordinate with other engineering teams to maintain cross functional relationshipsWork towards increasing developer productivity by identifying and fixing bottlenecksWork closely with the Product team to build the product roadmapBuild and implement rigorous engineering processes to ensure teams are productive, projects are coordinated and technical and design specifications are written and documentedCarry out project management tasks for the team and run sprint planning/retrospective meetingsSupport the growth of the engineers and tech leads building Hasura CloudContribute to defining and growing the engineering management culture at Hasura### Requirements:Strong interest in working in a high growth, fast-paced and dynamic startup environmentGenuine empathy about solving real-world customer problems and building productive, happy and engaged engineering teamsAt least 3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager and and 4 years of previous experience as a software engineerExperience delivering enterprise ready solutions for security, compliance, performance and scalabilityExperience working closely with enterprise customersStrong technical domain knowledge in modern application stacks, APIs, CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), security (SSO, SAML, RBAC), Kubernetes, databases and observabilityPrevious experience leading and mentoring engineers, team leads, or tech leads.Experience leveling up engineering culture and processesProven track record of delivering high quality software using agile methodologiesAbility to organize complex projects and initiatives, breaking them down into subtasks and delegating tasks appropriatelyExperience managing a remote distributed engineering team of at least 5 engineersExperience hiring engineers from a diverse range of backgroundsExcellent verbal and written communication skills### Good to have:Experience with Go-lang and/or React/TypescriptExperience working with relational databases, in particular Postgres, MySQL or MS SQL ServerIn-depth knowledge and experience with GraphQLInterested in speaking at conferences### Location:We hire remotely in these states in the US with a preference for the East Coast: Illinois, Virginia, California, Washington State, Maryland, Florida, Massachusetts, Oregon, New York, Utah, North Carolina and Arizona### Working at Hasura:At Hasura, we help developers build modern apps and APIs faster.
