What you’ll be doing…
You will be the go-to person when it comes to major development activities on the Verizon Wireline ordering and service management applications. The EOM portal is responsible for Rationalization, Decomposition, WorkFlow Management, Tasking, and Reporting. As part of the application development team, you will do the following activities.
Identifying and aligning project requirements and conducting impact analysis.
Collaborating with the business teams, external vendors, and other internal IT teams to deliver projects on time.
Developing new/existing enterprise software applications primarily using with SOA and Middleware integration tools IBM BPM and IIB in partnership with business analysts and technical architects.
Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
Performing hands-on coding work on projects to introduce new modular, reusable Service/API or enhancing the existing ones.
Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
Building reusable components and libraries for future use.
Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments.
Writing tested, idiomatic, documented components along with extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks.
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in designing and building robust, distributed enterprise applications.
Experience with Java/ J2EE, Spring MVC, IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, New Relic, Rabbit MQs.
Working experience in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BPM).
Expertise in SOA and Middleware integration experience with IBM IIB (Message Broker).
Experience in collaborating with teams that are geographically dispersed at different locations and time zones.
Even better if you have:
A Master’s degree.
Experience with DB2.
Database skills, proficient in back ends like Oracle, with strong working knowledge of SQL, PL-SQL.
Experience with business intelligence and data analytics tool like Tableau / Looker.
Experience with Systems Design and Project Management.
Certifications in SRE, Cloud technologies, DevOps, Agile.
