Job Description : Role Purpose:
This role reports into the WCE (Western and Central Europe) Business Controller and will be working closely with other members of the wider Controlling and FP&A team Globally to ensure consistent and accurate monthly reporting.
Tasks:
Month-end close – CMC France and CMC Italy
Review accrual balances for accuracy and completeness
Review open PO reports
Review balances of GRN’ accounts
Prepare analysis of variation of balance sheet movements and content of outstanding balances proposing corrections whenever applicable
Backup for upload of SAP data to Hyperion
From SAP and entries related to PPA and intracompany investments
Provide reconciliation between SAP and Hyperion upload
Manage Inter-company reconciliations process
Provide reconciliations to counterparty for all inter-co balances
investigate mismatches and ensure resolution
Prepare summaries as requested by corporate finance teams
Supporting document for major monthly balance changes
Accrued expense content and evolution
SG&A broken down into invoice-based vs accrual movements
Other ad hoc queries
Revenue analysis – CMC France and CMC Italy
Document the revenue booking and billing process
Review the completeness of monthly revenue accruals.
Payroll accounting – CMC France and CMC Italy
Book salary files provided by external partners ensuring correct GL accounts and Cost centers are used
Provide GL accounts and Cost centers to Treasury to ensure proper matching of accruals and payments done and follow up on payments done
Accounts Payable– CMC France and CMC Italy
Prepare vendor reconciliation and follow up with the global AP team where required
Match supplier invoices against purchase orders
Validate that all payments are matched with cost bookings
Provide GL accounts and Cost centers to Treasury for payments without purchase orders
Monthly Balance sheet – CMC France and CMC Italy
Fixed Assets
Prepare a monthly reconciliation of fixed assets – additions, deletion, and depreciation.
Ensure monthly cost accrual are done on timely basis
Payroll Accruals
COLT Accruals – investigate the basis of booking each invoice with the operations / sales team
General Accruals – rent, rates, audit fee
Tax compliance
Prepare retrieves for VAT, With-holding tax declaration made by external partners and provide supporting documents
Make sure the VAT declarations are recorded in SAP
Follow up settlement of VAT
Other
Support initiative to break down cost by customer project (internal recharges and data center services purchased)
Request opening of WBS, Cost center and profit centers on demand
Standard SAP retrieves with regards to annual audits
Interact with external Accountants – KPMG France for CMC France and CMC Italy
Interact with external Auditors –
Skills/Experience:
Strong SAP knowledge including BW
Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet reporting deadlines
A self-starter who will use their own initiative to solve issues where possible
Attention to detail and strong problem solving
Stakeholder management and the ability to deal with people at all levels within the business; good communication skills
Management Accounting and Financial Accounting experience
Hyperion experience an advantage
Advanced excel skills a prerequisite
Knowledge of IFRS and / or European Standards will be beneficial.
Experience of working with different cultures
Knowledge of French or Italian beneficial
