Roles and Responsibilities
Role Description:
The individual would be responsible for leading Internal Control and Risk Management for the organization. He/She would be responsible for defining the internal control checklist and risk management framework after scanning thoroughly business models, business processes & financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
The individual should have very good experience and understanding of compliance needs, a good internal control framework, accounting, and financial control needs in order to define the internal control framework.
Scan business models, processes, financial controls, etc and define potential risks and control areas, develop an effective checklist, it’s testing, and monitoring, and drive mitigation plans.
Develop ongoing financial risk matrices/KPIs that can be tracked on a daily/weekly basis.
Balance proactive controls with post events audit checks
Business mindset, enabling growth that is sustainable, compliant, and profitable
In-depth study of suppliers & customers risk management (AP, AR); Cash compliances; IT automated controls; User Access Reviews; Revenue and Cost Recognition; Legal and Statutory compliances.
Define risk management framework clearly details risks that are internal, external, and categorizing into financial risks, business continuity risks, risk of reputation, brand risks, etc
Qualification
Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of professional experience
Experience working with FMCG / Retail companies/Distribution is preferred
Good exposure and experience on Internal Audit and Internal Control
Skills Required:
Analytical thinking, ability to read between the lines
Big picture with attention to details
Process-oriented, ability to simplify and automate complex processes
Ability to get alignment, change management, building partnerships
High ethics, loyal and transparent
Business mindset with a passion for compliance and process efficiencies
