Job Description Of Chief Medical Officer
Providing medical aid to employees working inside the factory premises, adequate facilities for running of OPD and Emergency medical services on day-to-day basis, adequate treatment for work-related injuries, Pre-employment health check-ups of all employees joining the organization and Periodic health check-up of employees exposed to hazardous process.
Responsible for implementation of IMS ( ISO, OHSAS, EMS, QMS) in occupational health care system & SMS and formulation of various SOPs for better functioning of department.
Keeping proper records of all statutory as well as all other activities Accountable to improve and ensure implementation of systemic method of record keeping of data of Factory Accident Cases and record of daily sick report and monthly accounting of medicines. Ensure that OHC and FAC at Mines is functioning with 100% compliance to the statutory requirements.
Assessment of work-related occupational health hazards and advice to concerned departments for necessary counter-measures to reduce/eliminate the health hazards
Responsible to keep the PledicaI 0&N expenses of plant & mines within the approved budget.
Responsible for training of OHC staff in First Aid, BLS and other procedure as per need for better functioning of the department and imparting First—aid trainings for nominated employees and paramedics. Organizing educative talks and health camps for neighboring villages. Responsible and accountable to ensure the safety of OHC staff from occupational injuries e.g. by educating and motivating them to use PPEs, immunization against Hep-B & Tetanus
General administration of OHC — equipment / service ordering, maintenance etc. and Draw annual plan, ensure its implementation, periodic review of plan & identify opportunities of improvement.
Procurement plan of required medicines and surgical items on regular basis and management of medical stores and ensuring availability of medicines in First—aid boxes at shop floors. Accountable for keeping Emergency Medical store and Ambulance Vehicle well stocked and serviceable state at all times.
Ensure Collection and segregation of Bio-Medical Waste and its safe disposal.
Liaison with local hospitals and government officials as and when required.
Ensure / Monthly Personal Hygiene (FFI) Check-ups all food handlers and their periodic health check- up and vaccination.
Required Education: MBBS, Associate Fellowship in Industrial Health (AFIH) / Diploma in Industrial Health Required Experience: More than 10 to 18 years’ experience Special Skill /Training : Advanced Cardiovascular Life support -ACLSAdvanced Trauma Life support – ATLSBasic Computer knowledge …
