Your Role and Responsibilities
As a QA/Test Manager, you will lead IBM into the future by translating system requirements into the design , development and Testing of customized systems in an Agile environment. People and functional manager for a team of software developers / Test engineers doing agile storage software development & testing as part of a global team, which has the following responsibilities:
Analyze requests for new features and enhancements to existing data protection software. Implement, debug, and troubleshoot backend components of data protection software.
Perform design, code, and test case reviews. Develop and perform test verification and automation.
Collaborate across scrum teams and conduct effective playbacks for stakeholders.
Work with the support team to identify customer issues and provide solutions when required. Keep team members motivated.
People management.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
12+years of relevant industry experience
Proven background with systems and software products preferably in Storage and Backup products.
Hands on skills and solid experience on test development , Component Based Automation (CBA) Framework using Perl, Python, Java, Golang , Ansible, Jenkin, Oracle, MS SQL , VMWare and powershell.
Experience with Windows, Linux (RH, SLES), Linux on Z, AIX, MacOS, HP, Solaris. HW Platform x86, Linux PPC, Linux Power LE, Mac.
Proven Knowledge of Test processes and tools, RTC , Test Plan and execution records needed.
Lead System level testing and large scale custemer environment testing (CET)
Understanding and experience of working in Agile methodology across global teams.
Ability to drive component/feature for end to end testing.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to represent team in communication with global teams.
High performing team player with ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Understanding of Storage technology, Backup products, Agile methodology, Container technology
