Job Description : The Switch Configuration Management team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
Role
Developing high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical/functional requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget
Debugging applications behavior – using logs, actuators, monitoring/inspection/instrumentation tools (like Dynatrace or similar)
Creating technical documentation, user guides, software development guidelines
Creating unit and integration tests scripts & tools
Code reviewing and refactoring

The ideal candidate for this position should:
A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader or development manager
Java8 and above programming skills
Rest Web Services – development and usage in applications
Proven knowledge & using of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate, JEE
Experience in developing apps for Tomcat & JBoss EAP
Knowledge of: Maven, Artifactory, GIT, SonarQube, Jenkins, Unix command line
Hands on experience of writing JUnit test cases
Knowledge of Security concepts (E.g. authentication, authorization, confidentiality etc.) and protocols and experience in their usage in enterprise application
Experience of building services on cloud platform such as PCF.
Solid grasp on relational database modeling and design
Excellent communicator and collaborator
Problem solver and solution-seeking approach
Understands the full SDLC. Experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile, Kanban, XP, etc.)
