Job Description: Sr Manager, vCenter LCM
VMware is looking for a Senior Manager of Engineering who is interested in joining our vCenter LCM development team. You will manage the team that is defining the next generation architecture for control plane to expand existing markets and support new emerging technologies and markets such as managed cloud, SaaS and Kubernetes.

About CIBG
VMware’s Cloud infrastructure and business group is looking for creative manager to build our vSphere lifecycle platform. Our vision is to expand our well-established datacenter management capabilities to the cloud and onprem. We are building a new SaaS delivery model for our virtualization technology, and as a result broadening our business into new areas.

Responsibilities:
Technical development and project management
Strong experience on driving the SaaS deliverables.
Set product direction in close collaboration with other development and product management teams.
Drive a project across multiple cross-functional teams.
Set a high bar for quality and performance and work with all stakeholders to maintain that.
Drive the long term direction of the product for features, higher performance and scale.
Strong ability to influence others and build consensus using good written and verbal communication skills and customer facing skills
Ensure team is aligned to common goals
Communicate with all stakeholders and team members and provide updates
Requirements:
A Computer Science or related master¹s degree
Experience in Software development, managing all the phases in software development till release and service
Proficient in Golang / C++, and Python
Experience in data plane development and Linux Kernel
Solid understanding of data path performance, analysis and optimizations
10+ Years of industry experience
Strong leadership skills
Capable of architecting/understanding complex software solutions
Strong Communication skills
Developing visioning skills and ability to see the big picture
Passion to mentor and build a high performance team
Desired Skills:
Experience working in large-scale systems
