Introduction:
o As a Planning and Stress Testing Manager, this role has primary responsibility for assisting the co-ordination of the planning (Short and Medium Term Plans) and stress testing (internal and external) processes.
o The role provides support in co-ordinating the submission of plans from the business unit teams, along with the consolidation and analysis of business level data for senior stakeholders in assigned business and Group
o Provide accurate and insightful input to assist the decision making process
o Work closely with senior members in the team to ensure the continued enhancements of a robust Planning Framework that captures the key inputs required for the business to set, manage and monitor execution of the strategy

What will you be doing?
o Co-ordination of planning and stress testing processes in their assigned business area by translating Group requirements into business unit level actions and monitoring their delivery.
o Acting to provide a central review and challenge capability by analysing business submissions for plausibility and commercial logic
o Ensuring submitted data is accurately recorded in key systems via key controls and checks
o Preparation of consolidated review materials for senior management
o Understand the commercial drivers of the businesses and be able to articulate these to the wider team and management
o Deliver high quality MI with a challenging but positive influential style, in order to make recommendations off the back of detailed analytical work
o Be an effective team player with excellent communication skills and have a reputation for integrity, which can evoke rapid trust and confidence in clients, colleagues and their team.
o Logical and thoughtful approach to work and the ability to multi-task/work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Pays careful attention to detail, whilst also considering the big picture and wider implications.

What we’re looking for:
o Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
o Strong academic record
o Experience in Financial Reporting, Control, Planning and/or Analytics
o Understanding of wider Commercial aspects

o Highly motivated self-starter
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
o Very good communication skills, written and interpersonal, and the ability to maintain effective working relationships
