Assist with front-end development of back-end systems and reports.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop new customer/user-facing features, mainly on Shopify platformBuild reusable code and libraries for future useOptimise user interface for maximum speed and scalabilityIdentify areas for improvement by using variety of analytical toolsKeep the Shopify platform up to date with latest releasesEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designsAssure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-endCollaborate with other team members and stakeholdersKeep our Shopify platform up to dateAssist in development of back-end system featuresSkills and QualificationsWe are looking for a developer with minimum 5 years of experience in the industry.Strong experience of web markup, including HTML5, and CSS3Working knowledge of Shopify platform, using liquid, JavaScript and JQueryExperience in implementing friendly responsive UIsExperience in front-end code optimisation of e-commerce systemsGood understanding of server-side CSS pre-processors (e.g. SASS or LESS)Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAXProficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around themProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as gitFamiliarity with Agile processes and CD/CI toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detailFamiliarity with GraphQL/Rest API, HTTP protocolFamiliarity with back-end developmentInterest in learning mobile app developmentEssential AttributesPassionate about application design and system optimisationSelfless person who enjoys working in small, fast, and agile business environmentExcellent and open communication skills in EnglishSelf-motivated and capable of managing multiple prioritiesGood organizational skills and detail-oriented mindsetMindset for continuous learning and improvement with courage to try new thingsGood questioning skills to help identify and isolate a specific problem and its root causeIf this role excites you then please apply with CV and Covering Letter.
