Job Description : Skill-Lync is an exhaustive platform to re-engineer engineering education. The last 2 decades have seen an increasing disconnect between industry and academia – this has resulted in academia not meeting industry standards and thereby students becoming unemployable. Skill-Lync is a Y-Combinator (2019) start-up that is solving this problem at scale leveraging technology and an ecosystem of industry experts, engineer-trainers, and offline centers.
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in full-stack application development
Deep understanding of the basic web languages: HTML, CSS, and Jquery.
Solid experience working with the CorePHP, Codeignator, Laravel, and other types of web frameworks
Proven expertise in managing API services (REST and SOAP), OOP (Object-oriented Programming), and MVC.
Demonstrable experience in unit testing using test platforms like PHPSpec, PHPUnit, and Behat
Good working knowledge in design and query optimization of databases (MySQL, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB and DynamoDB).
Familiarity with server tools (Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM) and cloud servers (Azure, AWS, Linode, Digital Ocean, Rackspace, etc.)
Good working knowledge in version control (Github, Gitlab, etc.,)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
Developing front-end website architecture.
Designing user interactions on web pages.
Developing back-end website applications.
Creating servers and databases for functionality.
Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones.
Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
Designing and developing APIs.
Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
