Job Description : Senior Associate – Content Writer, Cvent

As a Sr. Content Writer at Cvent, you will improve the effectiveness and impact of content marketing programs and assets that target event industry professionals. In doing so, you will apply your storytelling talents across a variety of formats, from in-depth thought leadership blogs and webinars to customer stories and videos. You’ll have a clear understanding of B2B marketing, and an ability to develop strategic messaging that aligns with brand and product positioning. You will then be able to take that messaging and create compelling content that simplifies multi-faceted concepts and positions Cvent as a thought leader. Responsibilities

Identify event industry trends that align with Cvent brand and product positioning, then produce in-depth content assets that bring the story together and can be used to develop other derivative assets.
Write and produce various types of content – from blogs, case studies, e-books, reports, campaign landing pages, social media posts, videos and infographics across all media types – consistent with the marketing strategy and objectives of Cvent Event Solutions
Create and manage content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, and leads that contribute to sales and customer retention
Continually raise the bar on content & creativity to produce fresh or optimise existing content that connects with event planners
Present content strategy and concepts to teams; revise content based on feedback/direction.
Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization, but especially with digital marketing, demand generation, and customer marketing to participate in all stages of the creative process, from brainstorming to conceptual development.
Ensure the objectives of content projects are clearly communicated and that measurable engagement goals are met, including asset downloads.
Ensure written materials are clear, concise and persuasive to help bring the program strategy to life.
Edit and proofread content for consistency of brand voice and messaging.

Requirements:

3+ years of proven success producing content (preferably in the B2B technology or software industry, ideally in martech or events sectors.)
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in English Literature, journalism or mass communication.
Experience working in a multi-national, matrixed organisation to develop marketing campaigns in partnership with cross-functional departments.
Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions
Must understand the basic best practices of prominent digital and social media channels
Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement and leads
Demonstrated SEO understanding and the ability to categorise and structure content
Experience with Content Management Systems like Drupal, Google analytics, and top social channels
