Job Description : AMMACHI Labs, a research center at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is collaborating with the major government ministry to develop India’s first virtual labs for vocational skills for school children. The project would involve the design and development of immersive and interactive 3D games and simulations to teach vocational skills in an engaging way and would be deployed on government portals and accessible through mobiles. Some exercises will also be available in Virtual Reality. This flagship project will impact 100’s of thousands of children, helping them to learn and practice skills for priority sectors free of cost.

We are looking for motivated and experienced professionals from fields such as software project management. instructional design, game design, graphics and UI design, UX design, Unity3D programming, video editing and 3 modelling to join our team. Positions are open for contract/ full time and work location is flexible.

Research positions are also available in these areas.

Details of Job
We are seeking a programmer responsible for building games for various target platforms based on the Unity framework. Your primary responsibilities will be to implement game functionality translating design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging game.

to work on unity3D interactive learning exercises for building modules for teaching skills

Preferred developers with prior experience in developing unity 3D based learning interactions

work experience with virtual reality and/or augmented reality is a plus.

At least 5 years working experience in unity

Minimum Requirements

Experience working with game assets (meshes, animations, materials etc)

Experience profiling and optimizing game and render performance (GPU and CPU)

Experience working on a physics-based game project, source control systems such as Git in a multi developer team environment.

Understanding UX design process and experience working with UX design team and/or development team

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field.

Previous experience working as a unity or Unity3D developer or Unity and Unity3D software

In-depth knowledge of unity and Unity3D software.

Knowledge of 3D development and integrated game physics.

Experience with console and mobile game development.

Good communication skills.

Experience with memory and space optimization.

Knowledge of scripting, animation, session management, and textures.

Good troubleshooting skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Excellent coding skills

Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git

Experience
At least 5 years working experience in unity
