Job Function:
A successful candidate will engage collaboratively across the company with core Architects/Hardware design & verification, Software, Marketing and product planning teams to architect market-leading SoC products with best-in-class performance and power. The candidate will drive efforts to develop and prototype new system solutions and approaches. These new and enhanced products span data-center, virtual reality, machine learning, automotive, and IoT use cases. The candidate will be in a highly visible position with an excellent opportunity to influence Qualcomm’s technical direction, to lead the industry and change the world!

Possible Assignments Depending on Area of Expertise :
Architect market-leading smartphone, tablet, connected camera, wearable, IoT, Automotive and other SoC products with best-in-class performance and powerArchitect System on Chip Power Management and Resource controlArchitect Chip Clocking, Reset and Boot controllersArchitect trace and design time debug featuresConduct hands-on workload analysis including performance and/or power characterizations to help define our SoC architecture plans;Collaborate with HW and SW teams to define best-in-class circuit and memory technologies;Deploy simulators, profilers, or even real hardware to provide quantitative justification for architectural directions;Effectively communicate experimental results, review with technical leads and peers, analyze outstanding issues;Invent and file patents on technical solutions to relevant problems;
Areas of Expertise (the more the better):
Candidates should have one or more of the following areas of knowledge and/or expertise:
SoC / Computer ArchitectureReset, Clocking and Boot ArchitectureResource and Power ControlPower and performance optimization, simulation and modelingARM Coresight Architecture Experience/KnowledgeExperience in developing architectures to support system level debug.Silicon debug ExperienceKnowledge of System and Circuit Reliability featuresDigital Hardware DesignVerification/TestLinux/Android/OS ExposureEmbedded Systems
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems
Work Experiences:
5+ years of Systems engineering or related work experience.
