Plastics For Change has developed an ethical sourcing platform to create sustainable livelihoods for the urban poor while transitioning the industry towards a circular economy. Our deal process and mobile platform provide waste pickers with access to fair and consistent income opportunities.
Similar to fair trade agriculture, our platform creates transparency and accountability from the base of the supply chain to the store shelf. This results in more efficient shared-value chains and higher quality recycled plastic. We provide expertise to help catalyze brands and manufacturers to replace the use of virgin plastic with ethically sourced recycled plastic, thereby immediately improving the social and environmental impact of their products.
Job Description
We are looking for a highly committed and passionate individual who believes in bringing change in the informal recycling sector through quality assurance and compliance management. Duties and Key Responsibilities
Quality Control:
Ensure batch segregation is carried out as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Carry out onsite Quality Control Checks as per SOP.
Ensure zero defect material to clients.
Record Quality checks on to the platform.
Work closely with the franchise partners in improving the Quality Assurance process.
Escalate Quality deviations to the immediate supervisor.
Carry out a detailed analysis in case of deviations in quality, work with the franchise team.
Compliance:
Ensure operations are carried out in compliance with local laws w.r.t the health, safety, and environment.
Ensure safe and hygienic work conditions at aggregation centers, Dry Waste Collection Centers (DWCC) and scrap shops.
Ensure minimum wage compliance at the stakeholder level.
Support Operations team in carrying out the periodic assessment of sustainable sourcing charter across the supply chain.
Capacity Building:
Conducting one-to-one capacity building to strengthen stakeholders working capacity w.r.t PFC SOP.
Conducting one-to-one CRM (mobile technology) training for stakeholders.
Creating awareness and sensitizing stakeholders on statutory compliances and policies with help from experts.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintaining various due-diligence and other required documentation at stakeholder level, managing, monitoring and reviewing it periodically.
Ensuring timely, concise and accurate reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on prescribed formats.
Ensuring timely, concise and accurate CRM updates and also ensuring stakeholders are updating it regularly.
General responsibilities:
Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritization of workload skills.
Ensure that the PFC policies, SOPs, and protocols are being adhered to at all levels of the company.
Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.
Willingness to travel frequently cross Bengaluru city, sometimes at short notice, including other places as per need of project or company.
Work closely with the PFC team and Partners.

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
Freshers with any Degree
3+ years of experience in environment sector/quality.
Good understanding of quality assurance and quality control process.
Basic knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment legislation and compliance requirements.
Understanding of plastics supply chain would be an added advantage.
Past Experience of working in the fields of Waste Management, Environment Sector will be helpful.
Fluency in local language moderate English working Knowledge.
Skills
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently on projects / assignments.
Open to new challenges.
Good data management, documentation and reporting skills.
Good computer skills – MS Office and Working on CRM.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
An Eye for detail.
Able to learn new systems, methods, processes, and procedures.
Able to meet the deadline and produce quality outputs.
