Introduction:

We are looking for a Backend Developer having 5 to 8 years of experience with expertise in Oracle PL SQL (11g or above), unix shell scripting and having exposure to Core Java, Spring framework. Resource should have strong debugging and analytical skills. Resource will need to build knowledge around FISS system and settlement concepts in initial few weeks. Later he/she will be involved in all stage on development cycle from requirement ,analysis, design, development, testing with timely delivery for various regulatory as well as strategic projects.
Resource should be able to drive development of complex database objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL on his/her own and should have expertise in Dynamic SQL, Collections and Exception handling.

Participate in Performance Tuning, database modelling to handle large set of data effectively.
Should be able to work in 100% Agile Software Development Life Cycle under strict sprints delivery timelines.

Resource should be able to provide third line support to FISS application which is complex settlement application connected to 30+ upstreams and 100+ downstreams on weekly rota basis.

Should be able to mentor team mates on various technical and business queries. Should be able to support testing team in various testing cycle SIT, UAT etc.

Able to effectively co-ordinate with business during development as well as production release.

Resource should be motivated to learn new technologies/tools as and when required.

What will you be doing?
Hands-on experience in designing & developing code in Oracle Pl SQL, UNIX SQL queries on oracle database, CoreJava/Spring (good to have)
Excellent understanding UNIX, shell scripting, autosys, version control tools –GIT , change management tools , jira etc.
Should have strong debugging and analytical skill to resolve complex business problem.
Basic knowledge of Core Java would be plus.
Exposure to DevOps tools, Nolio ,team city ,BDD would be plus.
Expert in managing stakeholders in USA/LON/TOK.
Proactive in highlighting risks and suggest mitigation plans.
Good to have knowledge about finance domain

Communication

Participate in huddle/scrum meetings for Agile projects
Constant communication and follow-ups with various stakeholder during development and release phases where applicable
Escalate issues to Development Lead as appropriate
Provide development progress status in a clear and concise form in daily/weekly to Scrum Master/Dev Lead.
Choose and effectively use the most appropriate form of communication (face to face, AV, phone, bChat and email) with all stakeholders

Skills that will help you in the role:
Good level of education – ideally to degree Bachelors in Computers or IT is desirable.
Software industry experience
Self-driven and open minded
Oracle PL SQL Must have extensive experience of writing complex sql queries. UNIX
Java: Good to have working knowlege.
Experience of working with Linux and unix scripting

Any banking knowledge.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of Settlement System of investment banking.
Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to face off with various levels of seniority.
