You will lead our ecommerce growth strategy and the cross-functional execution of ecommerce priorities. You will analyze and communicate performance, develop strategies and business cases for investment, and partner closely with leaders across the company to understand key business trends and identify new opportunities for our sites, apps, and other platforms we may develop. The launch of several new ecommerce sites around the globe has opened this new position in the Vacuum Technique Business Area.
Main Responsibilities
Develop an overall ecommerce growth strategy in partnership with our Marketing, Communications, Product Management, Web, IT, and Customer Center teams.
Accountable for global go-to-market strategies for eBusiness channels, direct-to-customer experience, omnichannel enablement and expansion, and leading initiatives to drive both customer retention and sales efficiency and customer acquisition/channel shift for ecommerce programs.
Build, plan, and direct a central and regionalized ecommerce team while maintaining performance objectives, strategies, and financial plan/forecast for the channels in alignment with divisional sales operations and customer center leadership.
Measure and evaluate key performance indicators (critical metrics) such as orders and revenue generated conversion rates from product detail pages (PDPs), and customer acquisition, channel shift, and retention mentoring the team through deep analysis and countermeasure implementation as appropriate.
Advising the team to be a strategic partner with website development, digital experience and IT teams for e-commerce product roadmap for technical improvements, downstream order management efficiencies, and innovating upstream customer experiences.
Develop go-to-market strategies for new ecommerce regional markets and partner with regional commercial teams to drive customer awareness, product, and operational enablement, and strategic financial impact to the business and region.
Lead digital marketing campaign managers to drive campaign-attributed revenue, orders, and conversion rate through omnichannel marketing strategy.
Lead promotional offerings, pricing, and merchandising strategies for ecommerce in partnership with Marketing and the customer center.
Ensures governance with PIM Manager and Website Product Manager for updates to product information, pricing, and content with the business unit.
Supervise industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market conditions relative to specific offerings.
Analyze key traffic and conversion trends alongside adjacent teams (like Finance, Web and Consumer Insights) on relevant business and customer analysis.
Lead regular cross-functional ecommerce business reviews, capturing key action items and ensuring follow-up.
Diagnose root causes for any unexpected business trends and partner with stakeholders and relevant teams to identify and implement solutions.
Build business cases and advocate for new strategic initiatives to support ecommerce growth.
Define key omnichannel metrics, goals, and strategies as we leverage our digital experiences to drive sales in the channels.
Over time, assemble a team to support ongoing ecommerce analysis and operations.
Requirements:
8-10 years of experience in an ecommerce role with 3-5 years of experience directing a team.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications; Master’s degree a plus.
Experience in a digitally native brand/direct-to-consumer/and B2B business as well as Performance marketing experience.
Highly collaborative and problem-solver mentality to uncover answers to tough questions.
Comfortable leading projects and teams to find clarity in ambiguous environments.
Proactive, bold drive and mentality, with an initiative to roll up the sleeves to get things done.
A strategic, analytical thinker who understands ecommerce and customer behavior.
Intellectually curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working through uncertainty.
A crystal-clear communicator, both in writing and in person, who’s experienced in translating data into strategic recommendations.
Familiar with performance objectives planning with achievement to stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, quality of work and outstanding time leadership skills to lead efficiently in an agile project management culture.
Experience with digital analytics and key performance indicators (critical metrics) to drive online revenue and marketing programs.
Working with ecommerce technology, preference with SAP Hybris and SAP Marketing cloud or similar ie. Intershop, Oracle, Magento, Sitecore Commerce, or Elastic Path.
Track record of launching catalog syndication, e-procurement channel integrations, Amazon seller program, Google Shopping, or marketplaces a plus.
Leading product data within PIM or product database.
Validated understanding of Microsoft Office programs.
Experience working with creative agencies/vendors.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), preference with Sitecore or Adobe Experience Manager.
Experience with SAP and/or Salesforce CRM or similar.
SAP experience highly preferred.
