About The Role

Role Type: Engineer

As an Engineer you will design, build, unit-test and implement changes to the applications in the Payments Messaging platform for ANZ and also support the platform. You will partner closely with analysts, engineers and product owners to understand the requirements and to ensure the delivery of work meets customer expectations.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role you will ideally bring the following:

Certifications (if required)
Essential skills
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, patterns/practices.
In-depth knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards such as MT and MX(ISO20022).
Practical experience of MT/MX mapping using SWIFT Translator/Trace Transformer or similar mapping tools.
Practical experience with developing microservices with Java programming language.
Practical experience with Java frameworks like, Sprint Boot, Hibernate, Camel etc.
Stitching of messages and data e.g., where truncations need to be considered and retrieval of information back into the ISO message from truncated data
Experience with development tools such as bit bucket, uDeploy, Bamboo, Artifactory, Tosca
Agile delivery experience such as Scrum, Kanban and Feature Driven Development, using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Relevant Experiences – 7-9 years of application development and design experience.
Soft Skills – A team player, A collaboration champion, Continuous improvement junkie,A problem solver.
Educational Background (if required)
Desired Skills
Good Knowledge of Unix and Linux platforms
Good Payments domain knowledge
Experience applying good design principles to developing backends (performance,scalability,security)
Understanding of application infrastructure (networks,application servers,databases,integration)
Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently
