Job Description : Fraud BP&A Intermediate Analyst – Fraud Early Warning Analytics (C11)
Business/Department Objectives:
This position resides within the Citi Personal Banking & Wealth Management (PBWM) Fraud Prevention department. The team is responsible for Fraud Early Warning Analytics and driving Operational Efficiencies through data driven analysis.
Responsibilities
Drive & Support advanced analytic projects for Fraud Detection Analytics using multivariate statistical approaches, to develop and optimize detection rules, design processes and computer codes to simulate and evaluate performance of the detection strategies. Based on the analytic output design, recommend risk mitigation strategies that can be deployed in the fraud detection system.
Work closely with partners in the Fraud Prevention Organization to perform analysis on various business processes with a focus on operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Provides specialized analytics and management insights to the Fraud Risk Senior Management on policy compliance and aggregated risk measurement.
Participate with cross-functional teams to create and implement new/updated Analysis.
Strong communication with stakeholders within supported business area(s).
Influences decision making by providing fact based advice and counsel.
Evaluates efficiency of existing information/reporting and suggests improvements.
Mentor junior analysts.
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience
Experience in Fraud/Credit Risk Management is preferred
Strong SAS & SQL skills are mandatory
Knowledge of Citi Cards or Retail Fraud processes and terminology is preferred, but not required.
Strong, creative problem solving skills (analyze and troubleshoot reports/data to ensure accuracy).
Experience in BigData (Hadoop, Python), Tableau Reporting preferred.
Experience using large data (EDW) preferred.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Strong interpersonal skills (interact with various levels within the organization).
Experience in translating business needs into actions and results.
Bachelor degree is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
