As a ServiceNow Developer at SAS, you will be directly involved in the execution of tactical and
strategic ServiceNow projects, development of ServiceNow applications and integrations,
implementation of ServiceNow upgrades, and support and maintenance of the overall service delivery
platform.
In this role, your focus will be on ITOM administration activities along with some additional
responsibilities as part of growth.
You Will:
1. Play an important role in the development of ServiceNow as a platform for Service Delivery with a
focus on ITOM Discovery administration.
2. Lead ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Orchestration, Event management and Cloud
management applications within the ITOM product line
3. Need hands-on experience in optimizing discovery, tailoring patterns and development
4. Need hands-on experience across multiple ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping projects
involving a variety of enterprise and open source application server, database, network and
operating systems
5. Need hands-on configuration of event rules, alert rules, Orchestrator workflow, Cloud
management portal
6. Validate discovery results and troubleshooting as required
7. Advise customers on ServiceNow ITOM best practices
8. Assist with Service Mapping Processes and Best Practices
9. Guide customer configuration/implementations of the ServiceNow ITOM Platform
10.Need hands-on experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery
You may also:
1. Need hands-on Integration with other discovery source tools via REST, JSON, SOAP, ODBC, JDBC
methods
2. Need hands-on experience with scripting using JavaScript
3. Need hands-on experience with Flow Designer
ServiceNow ITOM Admin Requirements:
1. The ideal candidate will have ServiceNow L2/L3 support & development experience with
ITSM as well as with other platform modules such as ITOM, ITBM and SAM.
2. Candidates who are experienced and well versed in both ITSM and IT infrastructure (security,
server and network) will be a great fit.
Good to have:
1. Experience with the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) including
class structure, tables, attributes, Identity and Reconciliation (IRE), and Class Manager.
2. Experience with ServiceNow development tools including Studio, Workflows, Orchestration,
and Integration Hub.
3. Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
4. Experience with scripting in ServiceNow (Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, etc.).
ServiceNow Developer Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field required.
2. 3-5 years ServiceNow platform support and development experience.
3. Working knowledge of ITIL processes.
4. Understanding of L2/L3 Support processes and expectations
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
1. ServiceNow Developer and/or System Administrator certification.
2. ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification (Preferred) in Discovery, Service
mapping and Event management
3. Experience creating application with Workflows and Orchestration.
4. ITIL v3 or ITIL 2011 Foundation or higher certification preferred.
5. Previous experience with Discovery and Service Mapping.
6. Experience with User Interface design and User Experience concepts
