Job Description : Roles and Responsibilities :
Provide production support for the Linux/Unix infrastructure.
24X7 Operational support Linux/Unix environment.
Experience and working knowledge of services NFS, SAMBA, NIS, LDAP with Kerberos, DNS, NTP, etc.
System administration of Linux/Unix (RedHat and CentOS), RH Clustering, Scripting
Ability to write scripts in bash, python administrative language.
Experience in handling crisis bridge (MI) and ServiceManagement calls.
Technical expert in area of system administration for complex cases.
Experienced in Log analysis to help with RCA and identify the issue.
Liaise with vendors/ OEM to analyse crash dumps, or infrastructure problems.
Responsible to create file systems, disk partitioning and troubleshooting.
Responsible to schedule and execute regular system management activities including system reboot, backup, recovery, Patching (OS Firmware level), archiving, and restoration.
Ensuring the quality, stability of the Unix/Linux environment and supporting business managers in planning project
Address incidents picked up by the monitoring systems alerting on Unix Linux infrastructure within a timely manner.
Experience:
Requires 3 -6 years of experience, 2-3 years at Senior level or equivalent experience (preferred)
IN depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Oracle Linux, etc.
Hardening and patching for Unix/Linux servers
Good to have – VMWare, SAN, Clinicals application knowledge,
Ability to support infrastructure hosted on-prem, in Private cloud or in Public Cloud like AWS / GCP / Oracle.
Ability to groom Junior team members and support them in delivery as appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree required.
Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE )
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
