Job Description : Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders.

Project Brief:
This project is to build capacity for enhancing access, quality and timeliness of primary care services through three programme components. They are: (1) Development and Delivery of a Blended Education Certificate Programme In Public Health Nursing (18 months); (2) Engagement With Urban Local Bodies For Priority Setting in Public Health Programmes and Capacity Building for Monitoring and Evaluation (18 months); (3) Enhancement of Community Capacity for Participatory Leadership In Public Health (18 months). These programme components are complementary and synergistic, as they involve capacity building among three groups which are pivotal for successful delivery of urban healthcare programmes: the health workforce, the local administration and the community.

PHFI will implement this programme through its network of institutions, which includes five Indian Institutes of Public Health which are located across five regions of India, and its multi-disciplinary team of educators, researchers and trainers at PHFI headquarters. The project will be implemented by the Indian Institutes of Public Health in Haryana and Odisha in the districts in Gurugram and Bhubaneswar.

Deliverables:
Coordinate and liaise with Nursing Directorate and other key stake holders of Government of Odisha.
Coordinate and liaise Resource Persons.
Facilitate collection of data related to selection & nomination of 30 nursing professionals to undertake one-year e-learning course on public health.
Facilitate in organizing review meeting with various stake holders.
Ensure documentation and report writing on the progress of project activities.
Facilitate and organize trainings / workshops in consultation with technical experts and IIPHB team.
Monitor & Coordinate the training sessions in close collaboration with IIPHB & the nursing directorate.
Develop detailed monitoring and evaluation plan with key indicators to monitor progress and outcome of quality implementation of the project activities.
Compile curriculum for development of e-learning modules, follow up with resource persons for completion of module –write ups & ppts.
Prepare donor reports including physical performance and financial utilization details.
Primarily responsible for ensuring day-to-day requirements in terms of teaching material availability, transfer and online posting.
Documentation work to be undertaken as and when required.
Reports on monthly development including photographs.
Travel as and when required.
Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification:
Desirable:

B. Sc. Nursing with MPH/PGDPHM/MBA or in related area.

OR

Post Graduation in Public Health or Community Nursing.
Experience:
Desirable:

Around 2-3 Years of work experience public health management.
Work experience related to capacity building on nursing cadre development
