Your Role and Responsibilities
Your Role & Responsibilities:

As a Technical Development/L3 support Manager on the Cloud Pak System team, you will be leading and motivating a full-stack team in a fast-paced environment developing the next generation of infrastructure management features used in our premier private cloud management product. Working in an agile environment, you drive multi-disciplinary squads within the large development product group. Your work will involve close collaboration with Architects, Security & Test Engineers, Offering Managers and L2 support teams across our global organization.

Responsibilities:
As dev/L3 manager, you will manage a team of developers, testers, security engineers. Functionally, should be able to understand how development, test, ID, L2 and L3 support work together, keep all the tooling updated with required information and be able to articulate current status to leadership team. Will need to collaborate with external teams such as globalization, Penetration testing, PSIRT handling SPBd etc. Should be conversant with principles of hiring, people management, leadership development, time management employee engagement and networking.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5+ years of software development leadership experience in software development with distributed systems.
2+ years people management experience leading a department of 10 or more developers.
2+ years’ experience working with Kubernetes/OpenStack or related cloud-native technologies
2+ years working with Linux, virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM), networking and cloud providers
Experience working with CI/CD processes, DevOps methodologies and tools such as git, Jenkins, Travis.
Excellent people skills, including negotiating, recruiting, motivating, and team building
Growth-mindset: Willingness to learn new technologies and processes
Highly organized and able to balance multiple priorities
Dedication to transparency: ability to report issues and risks and find solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with remote office locations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

5-8 years of industry experience working with above skills.
Training and Experience in enterprise product development, release management, customer support
Experience with IBM platforms: Intel and Power
Experience with multiple cloud services, including IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
