Job Description : Our client is a leading firm in Investment Banking Industry looking for a Senior Software Support Engineer. To support engineer administers technical assistance to the team and other employees of the company. Software support engineers work specifically with computer software to diagnose performance issues and create solutions to help others navigate around these issues.
Tasks
Provide engineering expertise to troubleshoot, modify and engineer software solutions and configurations to ensure the product/solution performs within optimal design specifications;
Investigate, debug and reproduce issues, provide fixes and workarounds and verify changes to ensure continued operability of the software solution;
Demonstrate continuous improvements and increased efficiency to the software or business processes utilizing Software Engineering tools, innovative techniques and the reuse of existing solutions;
Contribute to meet the SLAs and KPIs as applicable for the account and unit – for example, responsiveness, resolution, software quality, etc;
Communicate with internal/external customers to enhance the understanding of customer problems, and verify that an appropriate resolution has been applied;
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computing engineering or computer science;
Practical experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting software applications running on the Cloud;
Preferred experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or GoogleCloud Platform (GCP);
Knowledge of and practical experience working with software applications running on Linux and Windows;
Fundamental understanding of JVMs;
Practical understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols such as Firewalls, Load Balancers, TLS, HTTP/S, SSL, TCP/IP, S/FTP;
Preferred experience with programming and scripting languages;
Java, JavaScript, React, Groovy;
Preferred experience in administrating;
Netsuite, Salesforce, Hadoop, Relational and NoSQL Databases;
Preferred experience with Orchestration and Containerization;
