Job Description : Need to hire a project accountant/analyst in India. This individual would be involved with day-to-day projects’ activities and in one sentence, he/she will have to work with finance and operation teams to ensure that projects are being run as expected based on bids and Performa P&L. keep monitoring forecasted and actual running costs and report variances and issues with numbers. Have ongoing meetings with operation PM’s to present issues and come up with reports that could be shared with CFO, and other possible managers. The following are some of the task items, but more will be added in the future: Make sure project accounts in the accounting and PM tool system are created Ensure project-related records, including contracts and change orders Maintain access to project accounts Review and validate supplier invoices related to a project Review and validate time sheets for work related to a project Review and approve overhead charges to be applied to a project Review account totals related to project assets and expenses Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management Confer with receivables staff regarding unpaid contract billings Report on project profitability to management Report to management on any opportunities for additional billings Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects Create or approve all project-related billings to customers Investigate all project expenses not billed to customers Monitor and report the write-off requests of any project-related billings that cannot be billed to or collected from customers Close out project accounts upon project completion, after finalized reports are prepared and presented to management. Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required Actual to Forecast analyses for completed projects.
