Role Description
Role Description: SSE- SQL

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology developer with experience in developing scalable applications and platforms. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. The person should be a self-motivated person with a passion for problem solving and continuous learning.

Role and responsibilities

Building and implement databases on MS SQL Server.

Creating database files, data types, and tables.

Planning, creating, and optimizing indexes.

Ensuring data integrity.

Implementing views, stored procedures, and functions; and managing transactions.

Ensure high levels of data availability.

Program databases, query data and manage data with T SQL.

Database backup and recovery.

Microsoft and third-party database migration tools.

Strong experience in Life Science Domain.

Analyze log files to identify performance issues.

Be a strong leader with experience in mentoring the team, providing technical guidance and managing their training needs & development plan

Managing client relationships and onshore team (High level of proficiency – speak, read and write)

Hands-on experience in operation management (Dev & Ops team) to ensure project timelines, team productivity and quality of deliverables.

Prior experience in troubleshooting Production failures, specifically working on SLA based delivery in Operations/Support project.

Ability to establish best practices and identify gaps to drive process improvements.

Technical skills requirements

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

Data Integration across CRM’s/Commercial systems (Veeva, Salesforce, SF Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud)Databricks, SQL, Unix Scripting, Python, Salesforce (Veeva)

Design, Architect, Develop and support applications on MSBI stack and BI frameworks, including SQL, SSIS, Windows Batch Scripts, precisely from operations and support perspective.

Azure SQL Database concepts.

Connecting Azure SQL with applications hosted in separate networks.

Sizing MS SQL servers on IaaS.

Database Synchronization across regions.

Migration of Oracle database to MS SQL Databases.

Azure, Linux environments are good to have

To run a PoC by themselves, in the Datalake

Azure, Linux environments are good to have

Nice-to-have skills

Ability to learn Azure Cosmos DB.

Knowledge and experience of various Database HA Architectures.

Experience in scaling and managing Managed Services engagements

Strong stakeholder management – external and internal including Exec levels

Take part in design / architecture in MSBI platform.

Drive technical improvements

Experience on Azure/AWS, Informatica, Oracle will be an added advantage

Excellent data analysis skills with analytical bent of mind.

Flexible to work in US (EST) hours and weekends (if required).

Ability to work under deadlines and proactive response to end users

Qualifications

4-6+ years of work experience in systems or application development.

B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred.
